description: What to do if your AirID tag isn't nearby and you've forgotten your PIN code: authorization with the PUK code from the Customer Card.#

How to authorize without a tag or PIN code#

Updated October 14, 2026

If your AirID tag is lost or its battery is dead, and you don't remember your PIN code, authorize with the PUK code. It is a four-digit master code on the Customer Card, hidden under a scratch-off layer. You can also see it in the app: Car → car card → PUK (tap the eye icon).

Each digit of the PUK code is the number of presses of the Service button. For example, for the code 2413, press the button 2 times, then 4, then 1 and then 3 times.

To authorize:

  1. Turn on the ignition.
  2. Press the Service button as many times as the first digit of the PUK code.
  3. Pause for 1 second.
  4. Enter the second, third and fourth digits the same way, pausing for 1 second after each.

If the code is correct, the authorization tune plays and the car can be driven.

Don't share your PUK code

The PUK code gives full authorization access. If you need to leave your car at a service station, turn on service mode, and to give access to the settings, give the technician a temporary SAC code.

After authorizing, change your PIN code to a new one that is easy to remember. If the tag doesn't work, replace its CR2032 battery or contact your installer.
