How to change your PIN code#

Updated October 14, 2026

A PIN code is a sequence of presses on the car's standard buttons that the driver uses to authorize without an AirID tag. The installer decides which buttons can be used (for example, the volume buttons on the steering wheel) during installation. Ask your installer about this.

After installation, the default PIN code is two presses of the Service button. Change it to your own combination.

The PIN code is also reset to the factory default if the installer reassigns the Service button. After such servicing, set your own PIN code again.

To change the PIN code:

  1. Start the engine and authorize with an AirID tag or your current PIN code. Wait for the authorization tune.
  2. Within 5 seconds, press the Service button 14 times. Each press is followed by a beep.
  3. Wait for 1 short beep: the security system is ready to accept a new PIN code.
  4. Enter the new button combination. You'll hear 1 short beep when you finish.
  5. Enter the same combination again.
Signal Result
Authorization tune The combinations match, and the new PIN code is saved
Long beep The combinations don't match. The system is waiting for a new entry: start again from step 4

How to authorize with a PIN code#

Turn on the ignition and enter your button combination. If the combination is correct, the authorization tune plays and the status in the app changes to Movement allowed.

Forgot your PIN code?

Authorize with an AirID tag or with the PUK code from the Customer Card, then set a new PIN code. See How to authorize without a tag or PIN code.
