The alarm goes off for no reason#
Updated October 14, 2026
First, find out what triggered the alarm. Open the Events → Alarming tab: it shows the cause and time of each alarm. Tap an event to see on the map where the car was parked.
| Cause in the events | What to check |
|---|---|
| The shock sensor sensitivity. Trucks, trams, thunder or doors of neighboring cars hitting yours can trigger the alarm | |
| The tilt sensor sensitivity. Strong wind, snow on the roof, an uneven parking spot or loading onto a tow truck can trigger the alarm | |
| Whether all doors, the hood and the trunk close tightly. If the car was armed with a door open, you hear 3 short beeps |
How to lower sensor sensitivity#
- Open
Car → Advanced settings.
- Lower the Shock sensor sensitivity or Tilt sensor sensitivity by 1–2 levels. The default is 4 out of 8.
- Watch for a few days. If the alarms continue, lower it by one more level.
To turn a sensor off completely, tap Off on its scale. Do this only temporarily: without the sensor, the system won't notice a window being broken or the car being jacked up.
Car at a car wash or service station
Before a car wash or repairs, turn on service mode: the security functions are temporarily turned off and there will be no alarms.
If the doors are closed but the Door opening while guarded event keeps repeating, contact your installer: a door switch or its connection may be faulty.
